Location on your device

PintPoint requests location access to find nearby deals, calculate distance and point you towards a venue. Precise location is used on your device for these features. PintPoint does not send consumer location to its anonymous analytics service or private administration dashboard.

Anonymous analytics

If you allow anonymous analytics, PintPoint records anonymous installation and activity information to understand overall usage and improve reliability. It does not use this information to identify you, follow your movement, build an advertising profile or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Deal reports

If you report a deal, PintPoint collects the reason you select and any optional message you enter. Reports are privately reviewed to investigate, resolve, dismiss or disable inaccurate or inappropriate deals.

How information is used

Information is used to operate PintPoint, investigate reports, maintain security, understand aggregate app usage and improve reliability. PintPoint does not sell personal information or use its analytics for advertising.

Service providers

PintPoint uses Supabase for backend hosting and database services and Apple for app distribution. The final policy will identify relevant processing locations after the production configuration is confirmed.

Retention and deletion

Anonymous analytics and deal reports are retained for up to 12 months, unless information must be kept longer for security, legal or active moderation purposes. You can stop future anonymous analytics from Menu → Privacy → Share Anonymous Analytics inside the app.

This policy may be updated when PintPoint’s practices or legal obligations change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
